Sandsend Village
Quaint & Picturesque
"The quaint picturesque village of Sandsend on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park offers miles of award winning sandy beaches, streams and rock pool for play, enjoyment or fossil hunting. Steeped with history the remains of the old Allum works and the old coastal railway are still there to be seen while roaming on the many local walks with some forming part of the Cleveland way.
The village offers excellent award winning restaurants, cafes, gift shops, two pubs, a well stocked village store and surf school.
It is within easy walking distance of Whitby with all its added attractions and also enjoys the advantage of woodland walks in Mulgrave Woods which contains the remains of the old Mulgrave Castle, all of the above are probably some of the reasons that visitors return year after year to this beautiful little village.
